PROJECTS
In collaboration with Austin Independent School District highschool engineering students.
Students learn the importance of new technologies in relation to art, art history,
cultural preservation and the future of digital permanence. Students cultivated several new skills including
the capabilities of volumetric photogrammetry (3D scanning) and the basics of the open-source
software Blender. Students worked to understand the applications of software for creating digital
game assets as well as CGI/VFX for commericial applications. The lesson was contextualized
through the importance of digital archives,
new media & cultural preservation.
